Alexandra Mora moderates a panel on Civil Rights for visiting Fulbright Scholars

Alexandra Mora was invited to moderate a panel for a symposium sponsored by Tulane Law School & the Citizens Diplomacy Council.  The symposium was held at Tulane in New Orleans in November of 2013 for visiting Fulbright Scholars.  On her panel were James Perry of the Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Action Center, Laura Tuggle of the Southeast Louisiana Legal Aid Clinic, and Thomas Robichaux, a local New Orleans attorney.  James Perry spoke about the challenges after Katrina with housing, including work he did on civil rights issues and the Road Home Program.  Laura Tuggle focused on housing and the disabled, and Mr. Robichaux talked about LGBT issues in Louisiana.  Ms. Mora spoke about her experiences working on civil rights cases in the areas of voter registration, employment and housing.
