Mora Law Office Settles Case on Behalf of the City of New Orleans

The Mora Law Office was one of three law firms representing the City of New Orleans in a lawsuit in which the City alleged that municipal bonds, which had been promised to provide a superior funding mechanism to meet the City’s obligations to the firefighters’ pension funds, did not perform as promised. The lawsuit, which had been filed in federal court in New Orleans, was assigned to the Honorable Kurt D. Englehardt. Following a bench trial, the case was resolved by settlement.
